Title: mobile data allowence
Post by: robstene on May 15, 2013, 10:56:10 AM
Hello,
A friend quickly told me about free VPN's today and mentioned that you can stream films for free over a 3g connection?

Is he right? He is saying that once you browse the net whilst logged in to your free VPN it wont effect your mobile phone data allowence if even on a 3g connection?
Surely this isn't true is it?

I'm guessing that your searches are just encrypted and thats about it?

Any knowledge on this would be most grateful :)

There are instances where that actually works.

Some ISPs only counts the data you send on certain ports mainly port 80,443 and smtp ports. If you connect your vpn to a different port not normally associated with any service or a service that they do not monitor then you can get free internet.

Again this only works on certain Internet service providers.
