VPN Server Setup/Administration / Re: VPN Setup, Proxy, Hamachi
« on: May 09, 2016, 03:48:13 PM »
I believe the developers of hamachi wont be able to access your vpn as they need your keys/password.

I would suggest to try OpenVPN although it would require a little bit more tinkering with configurations to work.

Running a proxy if you are already  using a VPN would add more latency besides a VPN already encrypts all your network traffic so your ISP wont be able to track the sites you are visiting.

Yes you can do that if you are using openvpn and a DD-WRT router.

Maybe you could use a router that can let you setup a VPN and then let your machines connect to that router.

Will you also give free access to your servers?

How can you offer your service for free? I cant see on your website on how you can monetize your service. I usually stay away from vpn providers that doesn't have a clear business strategy because they are possibly going to monetize it through their unsuspecting users.

Promo link: https://www.liquidvpn.com/free-vpn-account/

LiquidVPN, a VPN service provider offering access to anonymous VPN service that gives users Internet security and anonymous web browsing, announces its new Facebook promotion. To receive a free VPN account for life and get access the same servers their paid customers access, new customers can "like" the LiquidVPN Facebook page. Paid users can also receive a 25 percent discount off of the life of a subscription using the promo code "Privacy25."

In addition, LiquidVPN has recently released a new version of its VPN client for both Windows and Mac. This new and custom Viscosity client offers users one Windows and one Mac license for free. LiquidVPN has also begun accepting Bitcoins as a form of anonymous payment so users can keep their personal and private details even more secure.

VPN services are recommended for anyone concerned with protecting their private data while browsing the Internet or sending emails. The software protects users against unwanted data breaches that threaten their most sensitive information. For anyone who regularly uses guest networks in schools and offices, accesses Wi-Fi hotspots, downloads files or travels with their computer, using a secure VPN ensures all data will remain safe. By offering access to a free VPN account through the new Facebook promotion, Internet security and peace of mind is now available to everyone.

"LiquidVPN protects your privacy by encrypting data being sent and received using military grade encryption," explains an article on the LiquidVPN website. "Hackers, ISPs, governments and companies can intercept your e-mails and instant messages if you are not using a good VPN provider or because you are using a free PPTP VPN service of ill repute. Using our VPN client, your passwords, browsing activity and e-mails will look like gibberish, rendering them worthless to eavesdroppers and data sniffers attempting to intercept unencrypted data."

LiquidVPN's software is simple to setup and is then available to start using almost immediately. Several paid packages are offered including pro VPN service, which offers multiple sessions and unlimited data available at one month, six month and one year increments.

About LiquidVPN

They already said in this thread http://www.vpnforums.com/index.php?topic=284.0 that there is a bug on TCP

To kill the OpenVPN process, execute the command below.

Code: [Select]
killall -SIGINT openvpn
More details about the signals here: http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/documentation/howto.html#control

So you did enabled "Network discovery" on the windows 8 machine? I encountered this problem once and turning on network discovery on windows 8 fix it because that setting is disabled by default on win8.

If it is already enabled then I can't think of any other issues that could cause this.

So you can connect on windows 8 but cannot search for the server?

Have you turned on network sharing on that machine?

Here's a tutorial: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-PH/windows-8/turn-sharing-on-or-off

like I said before,, server in USA,,, los angeles 1 and 2,, new york 1 and 2,,,florida,,,, but in the morning and afternoon speed server is good,,,, i am using icmp mode

Are you sure that your internet connection is not the one slowing your connection down. I am using it almost 24hours a day and my download speed is always stable. Most of the time slow downs are caused by your ISP and not pdproxy.

You can verify if pdproxy servers are really slow by using speedtest.net. PDproxy just blogged about this a few days ago here: http://www.pdproxy.com/blog/comparing-vpn-download-speed-using-speedtestnet-41.htm
