VPN Problem
« on: February 25, 2013, 09:14:38 PM »
Hi my school blocked a lot of VPNs and i dont know what to do. They blocked Hotspotshield etc. Also they blocked L2TP an PPTP VPNs. I bought StrongVPN today and that also didnt work. I also cannot change my DNS Servers. Tor works but i cant use java on it (if someone can tell me how to get java working on Tor my problem would be solved). Im on Mac BTW. Any solutions for this miserable problem? Im in a boarding school so I cant live without VPN. Please Help VPN Masters!! Ask me for additional information if needed thanks.

Have you contacted StrongVPN's support? They might be able to help you configure an OpenVPN connection on your Mac.

Blocking OpenVPN is harder to do since you can use ports like (TCP)443 and (UDP)53.

What protocol do you use when connecting to their OpenVPN server? TCP or UDP?

Can you post your logs and openvpn configuration file here.
