« on: December 31, 2014, 01:45:52 AM »
Hi All,
I really need your help, my colleague setup VPN and resigned but he did not left any documentation all i know is the server address. We try to connect to VPN it says error 800. I open the port in firewall but same problem persist. What other things I can do and also how I will come to know that VPN is configured in server.

Thanks
Jibran

Hi,
It is a windows 2012 R2 server. Router only supports PPTP protocol. I download tutorials and did my best to setup but of no avail.

All routers can support the L2TP and SSTP Its all about mapping the ports in the router correctly.

Contact the vpn provider regarding your query. Ask their customer support because some thing like this also happened to me. I was doing bank account transactions from the purevpn Ip address that I was using. I disconnected and when I again logged into my bank account, it said your Ip doesn't match because you logged in from different ip last time. I contacted their customer support and was given instruction from there on.
